Our wedding site was just about 20 minutes away from Bodega Bay. My family rented a house overlooking the beach that was spectacular! 180 degree views of beautiful ocean. Friday we moved our things for the wedding from base camp(our house) to the beach house. Friday was a busy day. We packed 3 cars full of "stuff." All very necessary stuff! Not counting Kathy & Walt's car carrying the flowers and THE cake along with other items. My mom and I were in one car and took off towards the coast. It was a fun drive and we had good conversation the whole way. Once everyone arrived at the house we unpacked some of what we needed and took the rest all to the wedding site for storage there and some was for the rehearsal & dinner.
Trevor's parents put together a great rehearsal dinner for us that included yummy dessert as well. I went for the banana cream pie. We had everyone eat first and then moved on the the actual rehearsal. Both the DJ and the photographer wanted to be there to get their bearing for the next day and it was great. Our DJ Neil had great ideas about how to make everything go smoother and we were able to time everything out. It was good to have a practice run and was so fun to have everyone involved in the wedding together in one place finally.
To wrap up the night my mom and a team of tech savy people put together a projector & screen to show a slideshow. My mom compiled photos of both Trevor and I throughout all times in our lives and set it to some of our favorite music and had funny/heartfelt captions too! It was great and was fun to share that with everyone there. After that the sky was dark and it was time to get some rest before the BIG day! I can't tell you how excited I was.
Once at the house again me and the girls relaxed in the hot-tub for a bit and gabbed until we couldn't keep our eyes open. The next day couldn't come soon enough!
